ARTIST BIO Argentine born, living in Madrid since 1998. Graphic designer and photographer, he has worked in several advertising agencies and offices both in Buenos Aires and Madrid. VJ since the turn of the century, he occasionally performs VJ sets in clubs and presentations across Madrid with musicians and DJ’s. For his VJ’ing work he records film with video camera, camera and mobile phones as well as 3D compositions controlled via MIDI and OSC. The music plays an essential role in his VJ sets as many parameters react to sound. He uses the program VDMX in his live sets, together with Quartz Composer under Apple, with which he creates complex 3D universes which he edits live. Sometimes he uses Modul8 too.

I present a "almost monochrome" set on 3 screens, using only real time animations that react to sound. All of this is controlled with my "iPrack!", a controller made up of 2 iPod Touch assembled together running OSC software. “Almost monochrome” because I used a lot of black & white stuff, but I mix this B&W stuff with full color 3D animations, creating a high contrast visual world. My work consists in researching different patterns created from basic shapes that move to the rhythm of the music. By applying different FX, I manage to create new shapes that I associate to the music. The almost exclusive use of the monochrome and two-dimensional scales highlights the shapes and becomes an expressive force that refers to the basics. Metaphores of the future. An increasingly confused abstract future. A place were defective signals and glitches form the latest fine arts.
