Part 1. Lecture/Workshop: C-64 music -more than chiptune!

GOTO80: I’d like to teach people how to use a C64 (in emulator or not) as a creative tool and not as a slave for beep-nostalgia. I’ll teach the very basics of the software, but try to focus on the tricks to explore the unique advantages of this dirty technology.

Part 2. Workshop: Pixel Art & Animation.

Raquel Meyers (Cartagena, 1977) is a Spanish video artist with extensive experience in experimental low-res graphics. In this workshop, she will show you how to produce your own pixel art animations with old and new software. You will learn how to use the Amiga bitmap editor Brilliance, Gameboy Utilities to hack the graphics of games, and also Photoshop and Flash. The workshop is meant for anyone with an interest in pixel art, video games, animation and visuals for live performances
